Operational software
Systems that answer.
Zero 9 One builds and distributes the tools teams reach for when the work can’t wait — small, specific apps that do one job completely.

The systems
Four apps. Two live, two through build.
Each one came out of a job that needed doing, not a market someone spotted.
Peep Plans
Live on the App StorePersonal Emergency Evacuation Plans, written and kept current on a phone rather than in a folder nobody can find.
Winching Calculator
Live on the App StoreWinch and load figures worked out on scene, without reaching for a pocket reference.
High-Rise Evac
Ready for releaseEvacuation planning for high-rise buildings, built for the people who have to carry it out.
ExemptLog
Ready for releaseA record of blue-light driving exemptions, logged at the time and exportable when it is asked for.
Approach
How these get built.
Built by people who do the job
Every system here started as a task someone had to get through on a shift. The first user was always the person who built it, which is a slow way to find product ideas and a fast way to find the ones that matter.
Narrow on purpose
Each app does one job completely rather than five jobs adequately. That keeps them quick to learn, quick to deploy, and quick to withdraw if they stop being useful.
Shipped, not promised
Two are on the App Store today and two are through build. Nothing on this page is a concept, a roadmap item, or a pilot looking for a sponsor.
Why us
Written on the shift, not in a workshop.
Most operational software is designed by people who have read about the job. These were built by someone doing it — which means the awkward parts, the ones that only show up at three in the morning in the rain, were designed around first.
That is also why they stay narrow. A tool that tries to cover everything gets abandoned at the first inconvenience. A tool that does one thing properly gets used.

[Two or three sentences in your words: the job this does, and why it needed doing.]
The screens
What it looks like in the hand.
Drop real screenshots into these three frames — 1170 × 2532 from a phone or the simulator. The frames are already that proportion, so nothing will crop.
How it works
Three steps, start to finish.
Start a plan
[How a plan begins — who creates it, and from what]
Capture what matters
[What the app asks for, and why that is the right list]
Share it where it is needed
[Where the finished plan goes and who can see it]
What it does
The list, without the adjectives.
[What it does — 1]
[One or two sentences. A thing it genuinely does, not a benefit.]
[What it does — 2]
[One or two sentences.]
[What it does — 3]
[One or two sentences.]
[What it does — 4]
[One or two sentences.]
For whoever signs it off
Procurement, in one place.
The questions a service asks before it asks about features. Answered here so nobody has to chase them.
Platform
[iOS only? iPad? Minimum version?]
Deployment
[App Store, or managed distribution through the service's MDM?]
Where the data lives
[On device only, or synced? If synced, to where, and in which country?]
Retention and deletion
[How long records are kept, and who can delete them]
DPIA
[Available, not required, or in progress]
Pricing
[Per user, per service, or one-off. Or “contact for pricing”]
Winching Calculator
Winch and load figures worked out on scene, without reaching for a pocket reference.

How it works
Three steps, start to finish.
Enter what you have
[Which figures go in, and where they come from on scene]
It does the arithmetic
[What it calculates, and against which standard or table]
Act on the answer
[What the crew does with the result, and what it warns about]
What it does
